LA5ZK JO59ER.

Pictures of installation of the 3.70M (12 feet) Paraclipse dish (used at LA8LF from 1992-1995 on 23CM EME) took place last Sunday (May 6th. 2007) by the help of LA8AV, LA9NEA and LA8LF. LA5ZK modified the dish with a new RIM. He is a former airplaine mechanical engineer with Scandinavian Airline Systems. He has built VE4MA cir.pol. feeds for 23 and 13CM ready to be installed. JT-65 mode will have prority as his CW capacity has degraded through years of no CW activity. He understand that he has to improve on that in order to make more qso's on 23CM EME in addition to the few that he is capable of doing in JT-65 mode. In addition to the dish he has also aquired from LA8LF his old 2 ea. 2x2C39BA (7289) cavities, input and output combiners and dual slug tuners for combining the 2 cavities. 2 ea. DB6NT 23CM LNA's combined will be used at the feed. NF is 0.33dB. Autotracking will be used. LA5ZK is located 10 minutes drive from LA8AV site, 20 min. from LA8LF, 35 min. from LA9NEA and 45 min. from LA2Z, all QRV 23CM CW EME.
